Bom Jesus Group and São Francisco University Form Successful Partnership with Servix
SCENARIO: The centenary Bom Jesus Educational Group, present in five Brazilian states, next to the São Francisco University, located in São Paulo, both maintained by the same Franciscan Province, has about 6,000 employees and approximately 45,000 students. CHALLENGE: The structural dimension and the high number of users required a robust structure and more than one data center to store all the data. In 2017, with the need for updating, came the partnership with Servix. Nutanix's hyperconvergence infrastructure enabled more agility, increased performance and elasticity, as well as the ability to centralize operation on the same network layer, which was previously split into two data centers. According to IT Operations coordinator Mauricio Ortiz, with Nutanix it is possible to foresee some actions in advance, which increases the level of assertiveness. “Nutanix has been able to develop a solution that meets customer demand quickly, conveniently, simply and directly. It is easy to attach and takes less time to add if demand indicates this need, ”explains Maurício. That further punctuates other benefits such as saving on processing time and energy consumption. ROI: Multidisciplinary Performance In the Information Technology sector, the actions are usually quite separate. However, with Servan's deployed Nutanix solution for infrastructure, storage, computing and networking hyperconvergence work together, making experts in each area also work in partnership. “It's agility in every way, because with more professionals involved there are more ideas and processes get faster. In other words, it is a very avant-garde innovation, ”concludes the IT Operations coordinator.
